London
London, England is a city renowned for its famous
districts, landmarks and hotels.
London grew out of two cities, the original City of London and the
City of Westminster. One
of the city's major attractions is its vast areas of open parkland,
commons and woodland.
London has some of the world's most famous districts and landmarks,
such as the Houses of
Parliament, the Tower
of London, the British Airways
London Eye, and Buckingham
Palace. Within central London are the districts of Westminster
and the West End; Westminster famous for being the centre of British
government and the West End famous for its numerous theatres and renowned
shopping districts. Other districts in London include Mayfair,
Kensington and Chelsea, Soho
and Knightsbridge, all
of which have their own distinct characteristics, such as the grand
architecture of Mayfair and the lively, colourful streets of Soho.
